Karnataka Maritime Board Signed a MoU with CEMS

Karnataka Maritime Board Signed A Memorandum Of Understanding With Centre Of Excellence In Maritime & Shipbuilding (CEMS)

Karnataka Maritime Board has envisaged to open two maritime training centres at Mangalore and at Karwar. Initially, the centre is planned to be operationalised in Mangalore with a capacity of 100-120 students. The Karnataka Maritime Training Centre (KMTC) shall offer various courses with a focus on marine education, basics of maritime studies and practical aspects of the industry.

In this regard, Karnataka Maritime Board has entered into an MoU with a reputed Government of India entity M/s Centre of Excellence in Maritime & Shipbuilding (CEMS) as the Knowledge Partner for setting up the institute / design the course curriculum etc. CEMS is a reputed institution and is committed to nurturing sector-relevant skills among fresh graduates and industry professionals. The institution shall support in setting up and run the centre as per requirements of KMB and further mentor, facilitate & train manpower of KMB & associated organizations by conducting training courses.

The collaboration is expected to be greatly beneficial for both the parties.
